Prof. Dr. Alexander Braun (I.VW-HSG), Prof. Dr. Sebastian Utz (IOR/CF-HSG) and Jiahua Xu (University of Lausanne) have been selected for the 2019 Shin Research Award by the Geneva Association and the International Insurance Society (IIS). The Shin Research Excellence Awards program is designed to foster original, applied research in the insurance and risk management field, addressing issues of concern to global insurance executives by examining subjects which directly influence business operations and issues on a practical level. The winning paper „Are Insurance Balance Sheets Carbon-Neutral? Harnessing Asset Pricing for Climate-Change Policy“ will be published in The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance and distributed by the IIS and the Geneva Association. The award ceremony is part of the IIS Gala Dinner during the Global Insurance Forum, which will take place from June 18 to June 21 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. On this occasion, Jiahua Xu will present the paper before a delegation of over 500 insurance professionals, representing 50 nations.
