This September, we welcomed Prof. Dr. Ruo (Alex) Jia from Peking University to IVW-HSG as a visiting scholar, who brings his expertise in catastrophe risk management, insurtech, and insurance regulation.
Prof. Dr. Jia is an Associate Professor of Insurance at Peking University and has contributed extensively to leading academic journals such as the Journal of Risk and Insurance. He serves as Associate Editor for the European Journal of Finance and is involved with editorial boards in the insurance field. With a Ph.D. from IVW-HSG and industry experience as a Casualty Underwriter at Swiss Re, he bridges academic research with practical insights. Additionally, he serves as the Research Director for the Digital Technologies topic stream for the Geneva Association.
