Mrs Lan Zou has recently returned from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where she was visiting Prof. Johannes Spinnewijn and spent a research stay in his team.

During her stay abroad, her research interest lied in decision-making and policy intervention in health insurance economics. The overarching topic covered the Swiss health insurance market, which she investigated from several perspectives: decision-making theories, decision aids, and the effect of policy interventions in managed care systems, such as premium subsidies and risk compensation schemes.

Gaining a coveted spot at the world-renowned LSE, Mrs Zou was thrilled to present her work at the LSE economic seminar and its training workshops. It was fun and engaging for her to interact with leading scholars and other fellow PhD candidates. Mrs Zou was pleased to foster interest in diverse health insurance systems, and moreover, learn from other colleagues.
